Description
Turmeric Smoothie
- 1/4 cup frozen mango
- 1/4 cup frozen banana
- 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2-inch chunk turmeric
- pinch black pepper
- Add water for desired thickness
Blend all ingredients together until smooth and enjoy!
Turmeric Golden Milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp grated turmeric
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- pinch black pepper
- pinch nutmeg
- pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
Warm milk on low in a small saucepan on the stove, stirring constantly. Be careful not to burn the milk. Remove from heat and add in all other ingredients. Stir well or use a frother to incorporate well.
Turmeric Tea
- 1-inch chunk turmeric, sliced very thin or grated
- pinch black pepper
- your favorite tea, loose leaf or bagged
Make your tea as normal and add in the sliced turmeric and pepper to steep with it.
Turmeric Rice
- 1 cup rice
- 2 1/4 cup water
- 2 tsp grated turmeric
- pinch black pepper
- 4 tbsp butter
Preheat oven to 350. In a medium-sized baking dish, add all the ingredients and stir it in. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the rice is done.
