Tori Ostwinch

Hey there! My name is Tori, and I am the somewhat elusive wife of Casey. While Casey is very much the people-person, I enjoy being behind the scenes making sure everything is well-planned, organized and efficient. My background is in accounting and finance, and I currently work in corporate web analytics. My ultimate goal is to be back on the farm with Casey, so that we can work together again. We have always enjoyed gardening, and each year our garden always got bigger and bigger. We soon realized that we just loved working outside together and growing things. I especially love to raise chickens! It brings me so much joy to see a collection of brown, blue, green, and dark brown eggs. Plus the taste is something that store-bought eggs will simply never match. After a few years of building a mini homestead in Huntersville, NC, we discovered ‘The Market Gardener’ by JM Fortier, which was such an eye-opener to the fact that you CAN be a farmer as a career. So we began to strive toward that goal, which took us to North Corner Haven in Lancaster, SC. We sold everything we had, including our house, and lived in a 31 foot RV for a year. It was an awesome experience, to say the least! We gained so much knowledge and are truly grateful for such an opportunity. Fast forward to now, and we have our forever-home on 4.5 acres where we can truly build the farm and homestead of our dreams. I am looking forward to meeting the people in the community and creating life-long friendships, and growing delicious food and eggs along the way.
